A path that actually teaches
Ear training apps often just play notes and ask you to guess. Every Hearmony unit explains the idea first, then trains it.
Listen to the guide
Fen explains the idea in plain words, with sounds you can tap to hear.
Play short lessons
Quick questions with instant feedback. Miss one and you see the answer, the notes on a staff, and can hear it again.
Stop for a song
Each unit has a song stop that puts the new skill to work on real music.
Pass the review
A unit review mixes everything so the skill sticks before you move on.

Find out what kind of ear you have

The pitch test measures the smallest difference you can hear, in cents, and estimates how that compares with typical listeners. Share your card and see what your friends get.

Questions, answered
Do I need an instrument?
No. Hearmony plays every sound for you with real piano and guitar samples, and you answer by tapping. If you play an instrument, choose its sound in the app so the lessons sound like what you play.
I'm a complete beginner. Is it for me?
Yes. The first adventure starts with the simplest question there is: did the sound go up or down? Every unit opens with a short guide you can listen to, and new ideas arrive one at a time.
Can Hearmony give me perfect pitch?
Hearmony trains relative pitch (intervals, chords, melodies and keys) and, in Note Memory Mountain, naming notes from memory. How far note memory goes differs from person to person, so the app shows your accuracy as you go instead of promising a result.
How much does it cost?
Hearmony is free to download. The first adventure, the theory side quests and 10 energy a day are free. Hearmony Pro unlocks all 12 adventures and unlimited practice: $49.99 a year with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers, or $7.99 a week. Prices are in US dollars; the App Store shows the price for your country.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Hearmony. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up, email or password. Your progress is saved on your iPhone.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone with iOS 17 or later.
